Free to use. There is the voluntary membership fee for Audubon of RI but all preserves are open to the general public regardless of membership.
Free!
Jackie, Great question. Audubon RI Refuges are free to the public. However - we do hope that folks will support us by either purchasing a membership or leaving a donation. As I'm sure you know, maintaining the grounds and trails costs money. Audubon RI is NOT funded through state or federal fees. We rely on memberships, donations and grants to keep the refuges open and programs running. We managed to stay open throughout the COVID restrictions to date, but the increased usage really took a toll on the trails. So please join Audubon RI or donate! Thank you, Jon (Refuge Manager)
