There may have been burials prior to the year Glendale became an "official" cemetery. I lost my brochure with the founding info. There's a book that is probably available in the Akron libraries that a woman, from Cuyahoga Falls, next to and north of Akron, spent many years of research on the Glendale Cemetery and her book is the definitive guide about everything you ever wanted to know about the cemetary. You might eant to see if you can check out that book from the Akron main library in downtown Akron. You can look up the library numbers to call on Google Maps or a search on the internet.
