Yes, this is no primitive camping place. Park rangers and camp hosts are also pretty frequent. With all the road and boat sounds, the bears probably are only in the signs.

Yes. I have been 6 or so times, and have never felt unsafe. The park rangers routinely drive through. I know black bears live in the park, but have not heard of any bad experiences with them. Always be sure to secure food and trash. Either way, it is a favorite park of mine and already have plans to go back. It is the park that I judge other camp sites to.
