My cabin did not have an outdoor firepit, I was there about a month ago. It had an outdoor grill and a table. I don't remember ever having a fire pit at a cabin there, however, there are fireplaces inside of every cabin. Refer to the park website to figure out which cabins are close to the water.
Cabin #8, wife and I stayed there a few months back and it is close to the water. We were able to take our canoe a put in behind the cabin. Views were also nice through the trees to the water.
All of the cabins have fire pits which is really nice but if you look at the map on tbe website it will show you which one's are closest to the water
