Not far at all, there are ropes to help.. It's steep
The trail is around 800 meters (1/2 mile) and the elevation is about 30 meters (100 feet). What does that mean? If you fall, you will get hurt. Hit those rocks while falling and it could be your last vacation. So be smart and use the ropes.
There is a platform to view the falls, very close to parking. The trail down to the falls is very steep, not very far but muddy with a steep incline.
It is a short trail to the platform, but if you're adventuresome, then the steep trail on down to the bottom of the falls is worth the hike. I'm an older lady and I go several times a year but I don't go if it has been rainy a lot.
