By the outside entrance near the steps, I'm inquiring about 2 plantings. One is what I
think is Kahl. Normally you would not see this until Fall. Is this being planted by your
help and what type is and where may it be purchased?

I agree. I'd call the botanical garden. You will likely get an accurate answer as well as some advice on where to buy and how to care for it.
