Yes. However, to shop on post, you will need to have either a cac or a retirement Id. A veteran can now shop online. You will need to supply AAFES with some information.
All active military members, and active reserves members with a valid military ID can shop the commisary and PX stores. This also aplys to military spouses with proper ID, military retired personnel with ID, and disabled veterans rated thur veterans affairs.

All you need is your military ID, they don't allow purchases just because you're a veteran unfortunately, no military ID, no sale. Personally I think if you can prove you are a vet, with your DD 214 or up to date military ID you should be permitted to shop. I hope that helps.
