My wife went to the exchange to get a few necessities for our pets and after getting to the register she used my credit card as we typically do, and was denied because the name on the card didn’t match her ID and was told to return with her sponsor next time, mind you I’m on TDY for 2 months and physically cannot be there, absolutely ridiculous.

I think you need to be with someone in the army to go on base to shop here. Very large. Clean. Fair prices.

Just like anything you order online, you send it to the address that you want the item(s) shipped to. I would call customer service and make sure that they will hold the item you ordered.
Yes. However, to shop on post, you will need to have either a cac or a retirement Id. A veteran can now shop online. You will need to supply AAFES with some information.
They do, but you have to be military affiliated and qualify to shop there, in order to receive it
Last time I purchased here, I needed a copy of my orders because I did not have a KY DL. This may be for pistols only, though. Since I am retired now, I can only purchase shotguns and rifles there now.

Yes, as long as you are an honorably discharged veteran, you can shop at the commissary and/or px.
There is a sign on any open booths giving you the info on it. But you could also call the main exchange phone number and they should be able to give you info.
I was there last week. PX on a Thursday was open until 8 p.m. Food court was shut down by then, but I think they're still in operation. Things may have changed since last week.

The main px is open until 2000 or 8:00 PM, the Shoppette on Bastogne also is open 24 hrs and the Shoppette on Market Garden Rd closes at 1800 or 6:00 PM.

Everything at the exchange is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas day. The KY express should be open but they do not have any restaurants in that facility, just the snack Ave food
