I'd say the end of summer. But Zion is usually crowded. Especially that hike.
Yiu want to go right now
Just got back and the narrows was perfect with the rented waders, but you would have to carry the kid for the deeper parts. Water was up to mid thighs on an adult at worst.
Obviously after spring break. Its almost always crowded there. I didnt hike, we ended up taking a tour. But there is camping and some lower trails that are safe. It is windy there. Hope this kinda helps. Ill play captain obvious and tell you to make sure people know your route, maybe even coordinate with the park rangers so they're aware of your plans. Always have water, and its better to be safe than sorry.oh if uou can hike bryce canyon! SO WORTH IT!!!
Definitely end of summer, water can get pretty high though they might have to do a little bit of swimming, but really shouldn't be a problem
I would say September!
And you are at the whim of the weather. If there is a chance of rain, it will flash flood.
