Depending on the time you place the order affects the pickup time. If you are sure the item is in stock, you may stop by and ask an associate to located it for you. This way you don't have to wait till next day.
That's a very good question. I can only assume that the store allows itself to have a 24 hour grace period. It would allow for: receiving your request, officially entering your info into their computer system, checking the shelves to confirm the item is actually there, attaching your data to the physical product and putting it in a centralized location to await your arrival. Chances are that your order is ready just a few hours after you place it. It's either that, or they're just trying to annoy the customer! 🤔

Pickup is open certain hours, only. I usually have no problem picking up the same day, if i order early.
