No matter how old you are just collect some of these Lego sets and then your grandkids can have real collectables.

Depends on how old your kids are. If they are 4-11 ish they will love it. It's definitely a nice day trip from long island and I would assume from North Jersey as well. Just need to answer the question, what else would you do that day that would be as fun ?

if you have kids, yes

If your kids are under 11 or huge Lego fans then yes it is worth it as long as it isn't cost prohibitive.

I don't think so. A very expensive day out and a long drive to wait in line for some mediocre rides and non interactive displays. Go and support one of the local boardwalks instead.
