Yes you need a membership. You must show card at entrance and check out. You can shop with someone who has a card but you have to pay cash because cards (debit, credit, EBT) must be in member's name. Also any alcohol purchased but be purchased by member. The food court doesn't check for membership card at check out, but again you need to show card to get through the entrance.

No you don't. Buy Costco Shopcards. Can use for most things. Get funny looks from door people and cashier's but you can use the card to get into Costco like a membership card. I've done that a couple of times. It just takes longer to checkout because they always call a manager over.

Yes you need a membership to buy anything even if you pay cash the member must buy it for you. You would be able to go into the Warehouse with member to see things but not to purchase anything
