I've fished there a couple years back last year and this year, and have caught nothing unfortunately. But last year and this year Southfield parks and rec have stocked it 50 Large mouth bass and 200 blue gill both years, there are also good sized cat fish i saw 1 guy pull it out but i still haven't caught any bass yet. They're in there but the pond is slowly being brought back to life. Main problem is there are few access points to fish. Just the platform and the dam publicly. other than that everything else is through the brush, not to bad though just have too slide down the hill to get to em. GOOD LUCK! catch the bass i couldn't catch and let me know where he was hiding.
I've caught several bass, they tend to hang out on the residential side of the lake and can be difficult to cast to. I use waders down near the Reed side of the lake. There is a small peninsula there that can be fished from with decent results
I would say that since it is connected to the rouge river that you may see more catfish and garbage fish than bass and game fish. The water alone is dark and dirty. Not like a typical lake or clean pond. I certainly wouldn't eat anything from this water.
I don't fish there but I have seen people fish and catch carp, catfish. and bluegills
I take my kids hiking there all the time and not once have I actually seen anyone fishing. But, I have seen some tackle in the trees....
