Why does your restaurant charge 5.00 for a single hamburger when most of Wendy;s price for a single without cheese is only 3.98 or 4.19 with cheese This is very expensive when you can get McDonald's for 99 cents or Burger King fro 99 cents .

I hate when restaurants do that!! I have learned however working for one of their competitors that often times it's due to that particular location being a franchised location (not ran by Wendy's Corporate). That causes a couple issues...1) they have to pay "licensing fees" which is usually about 5-10% of their total sales & the bigger issue 2)they are one of the locations the fine print refers to when it says "only at participating locations". So they tend to charge 10¢-$$$ more per item to cover the fees and also to cover varying business costs across the country(min. wage/rent/utilities/etc.). Its SUPER annoying considering it's not very clear in the commercial but being a franchise you aren't allowed to run your own commercials and have to rely on corporate marketing (commercials). Sorry so long-winded and doesn't fix anything but hopefully explains it a bit 🤞- Good Luck & Take Care!!

I agree with mr mcman, plus you have to keep in mind that branford is a high cost area. And it gets worse the closer you get to guilford, madison, and old saybrook.
