Yes you can can walk in, they would just have you choose your seat at the register while buying your ticket. They've had mapped seating for a long time now, likely so you know you'll be able to sit with your friends/family when buying tickets

You would have to call them to find out why you can't be a walk-in. I would suppose it's because of Covid 19. Call ahead to get the seat you want, I'm not sure how far in advance you have to call. We went on a weekday afternoon and there were only 10 of us in the theater.
