There is an algae problem at the lake. This year seems to have a bit more. We've been the there for over 40 years and never had any issues with it other than being nasty looking. The main beach is usually pretty good.
It is safe to swim in Lake Britton in the designated beach area. We have received no notice of an algae bloom at this time. Thank you for asking.
