My laptop's touchpad isn't being recognized by my computer. After trying software solutions to no success, I think I need to replace the touchpad. How much does Fry's charge to do that?

Yes laptops are cheap, but ...we don't know know what laptop this guy got how much you spent ..so getting a cheap laptop will not suffice in every situation , Fixing it would be best Especially if he has Alienware etc... but I would call the manufacturer and see what it would cost replace that and there are also local repair shops you can call in San Diego too. Unless you have some kind of special warranty with Frys I would not use Them for that.

Depending one the computer just buy a new one

I wouldn't trust their techs to do anything like that. Go to Best Buy or a computer repair place.

Laptops are cheap, I'd spend money on a new one rather than repair a touchpad
