Can anyone go a little in depth about the atmosphere of the gilt bat, I'll be going here for a first date, and I want to know if the surroundings (table setup etc.) Is good for that??? Please and thank you.

Great date spot! Dimly lit. Mix told tables and booths along with the bar. There's also The Library downstairs, where it's a little quieter.

It definately is. It is a dark venue but the bar is made of copper. Lots of people talking and a variety of crowd from parties of two to groups. I think this is a perfect spot. Great people watching too. I heard there is a secret bar downstairs too!
