That guy was fired. Try coming back again and enjoy the 6th oldest winery in Oregon. Sorry for the Z man creating a bad experience.
HA! Had a similar experience.... Like a candid camera experience for a wine tasting!
Just tasted some of their wine at the seafood and wine fest in Portland. I can’t drink grape wine, the tannins give me sever migraines after a very small glass. They seemed very approachable. They said the prices for tasting and for a glass... and never charged me for the stuff after I bought a couple bottles. Was very considerate. Not much, but they basically lost 3 samples and two glasses of wine... about 16 bucks ... so either I got the drinks free or the delicious bottle of plum wine free. Was a win win. Also got the blackberry wine. Excited to try the peach and honey meade. Was a very nice experience.
Tried to go a week ago. The man behind the counter treated me worse than I have ever been treated in my life! He ridiculed me for wanting to taste them all- I like while and dessert wines and my husband prefers red. Another woman walked out without tasting a few minutes after we did. Might try again, but if the same guy is there we won't be buying, or even tasting.
The man behind the counter was incredibly rude. Instead of issuing a simple approach about me rolling a bottle for sugar content, he instead compared me to his grabby 9 year old. I traveled many states and have done many tastings. This was the worst and the wine was not that good.
Had a great experience there look forward to going back. Great wine
