We love to stop here when camping in the area,or on the way to Rockaway Beach. It is a very nice stop. To picnic, walk around, feed the fish, look at the fish, nature walk, check out Umbrella Falls. We have never fished here,but they have a dock,that is handicap accessible. And you can fish on the banks. They have a nice swimming hole too. And restrooms.I have never seen a soul here,besides the employees. The man there was nice.

NF Hatchery is a great place to fish. Salmon and Steelhead. A bit crowded but produces a lot of fish

I happen to have the nehalem hatchery hotline number . 503 368 5670. If you were to fish this area from now until mid febuary , you will be targeting them during the peak of the run. This peak can vary year to year, but I know there are fish being caught every day ( water conditions permitting). Hotline has great fishing info.
