It's a 1/2 mile paved trail to the top of the beach, there are picnic tables and restrooms there. But it's a scramble over rocks to get down to the sand and some portions of the trail are quite uneven. I would not bring a family member of mine with a walker here.
At Short Sands portion one can navigate but steep inclines on well smoothed walkway. At the end of the trail, a great picnic area to overlook the beach and the creek as well as take photos of nature in general. To the right behind the restroom is a short trail to let your pet out, and that ends along side the highway. The paths are smooth and there is a picnic table old, along the way to a newer table next to a creek. It depends on how skilled or physically able a person with a walker is, on whether this will work for you. I've seen a few do it prior. Be sure and take help with you, in case you need it.
