Questions & Answers

is this a dog off leash park

This is an on leash park and it's frustrating to come here with my dog on leash and have several off leash dogs run up to her. You don't know other dogs temperament and I don't know yours. Follow the rules so we can all enjoy the park

Is it possible to reserve a picnic table for a birthday pary?

Brian Hammer | Dec 7, 2019
Lukechard Fud | Dec 8, 2019

From talking to the folks who were picnicking there, from April to late October, it is better to reserve. For the winter, I think people just go.

When is the spray park due to re-open?

Good question. According to ma. Gov website August. Beaverbrook overall can be confusing as to who oversees what. For example the Rock Meadow side is patroled by one person whereas the area where the spray park is (and dog walking, picnic area near little bridge up to our down from the spray park) is state run. I believe MDC may know. It was under considerable construction so you might want to drive by and see if that's finished as that could lead to delays

Is there a place where dogs can swim there?

The creek varies according to rain. Depending on which of the 2 parking lots you partake of, there are alternate routes. There's a little bridge from the Trapelo play ground that goes over clean and shallow water. If you follow that, it gets muddier and a bit wider as you head down the paved path. Either from there, the upper parking lot or where most of us take our dogs for water you will find that at the meeting of the paths (one is dirt) my dogs swim there (or wade as stated above) try not to head toward the business buildings because the water gets increasingly polluted. I have photos of these spots but can't add to this comment, sorry!
