Sombody dumped a cat at our house. It is a very very skinny young (maybe a year) female. We have been feeding it out of compassion so it doesn't starve. We already have three cats, and we cannot handle a fourth. What should we do?

The best thing to do is call around and get on waiting lists for intake of cats. All shelters are overrun by the need for cat surrenders year round. They unfortunately do not have the space to take them all in and warehouse them until homes are available.

What Amber said. Sometimes if you can't manage food and vet care for a cat you intend on surrendering, Pets Come First or Paws may help you while you wait for a space for the cat. There are also other organizations in the State College area that can help arrange spaying and help with medical care.
