My daughter is scared of wild animals. She prefers to go to farms. We went to the zoo the first time at night on New Year Day for lights then she cried very loud because she was afraid of the dragon. Do you have any advise for me?

Actually there IS a komodo dragon on the map...but the zoo is large enough that you can skip that part....i didn't see the dragon but i was not looking for him/her.

The place has no dragon.. it's a very calm place inspite of lots of animals being around..

I think all children should be taught about nature at a young age. The zoo can be a cool place for most kids.Syart with the petting zoo. The giats and llamas are awesome and when I was there they had a baby calf and pigletts.

You could start at the petting zoo to kind of break the ice.

Sometimes education and activities can subside fear. The zoo is doing an Easter Egg hunt on the 31st where the animals will open their Easter baskets. Maybe seeing the animals play and get excited for toys would make them less scary. Animals are just big fuzzy/scaly kids. They like to play and have fun just like anyone else.
