I use to brush my poms who seamed to get tangled and sometimes matted behind the ears. I used a conditioner on the dry fur and used a comb and it helped. Wash them afterwards I have to cut and divide the fur in small section and brush or comb it out. It's best to brush them when they are dry. The best advice is to ask a groomer. Miki Komier in Cochranton is reliable groomer
If you can bathe her use conditioner also you can use a cone around her head to keep her from biting
I don't really know where to take your cat I have a cat named Prince and he won't let me brush his stomach and he's getting matter he's a long haired 17-pound gray cat if you find out any place to take your cat let me know thank you I even asked a veterinarian in Seneca they said to take it to the paws place I called they don't groom
