It is near where the original fort was built but due to the changes in the area so many times in history, and the current buildings, the exact place is still a question. Contact the National Park service for more

Our guide said it was built on the same site. The British fort was going to be sold to the Americans, but someone burned it down. So the Americans didn't have to pay. But rebuilt on same site.
