Since the bridge is so old I assume it wasn't made for modern vehicle load-bearing so I guess cars aren't allowed to drive over it?

Loys Station and Roddy Road covered bridges have been rebuilt. They are single lane, but sturdy.

You can as long as your car/truck is under 8'. We drive our SUV on it all the time, no problems.
