It's free to drive around
YES. There is a modest fee for the Park. Children, 15 and under are free. It allows access to the Battlefield, the official brochure with a map, a documentary movie, the small museum, Ranger Talks, Ranger-led tours, and teacher packs, Jr Ranger Program materials, trail maps, etc. Fees are collected in the Visitor's Center, and/or Museum Store, located in the Visitors Center. Fees are clearly displayed on signs, but collected more on the "honor system," and allow access to the Park for 3 consecutive days. Even to drive the Battlefield, one is SUPPOSED to pay the modest fee. This is basically, a "gateless" NPS Battlefield Park. However, as mentioned above, paying the fee is mostly an "honor system," as tickets do not have to be displayed on your person or your car. Support the NPS!!
Unless you go in the visitor center, no. Its free to drive around but there is a fee to go in and look at the museum and film.
The visitors center seems to have some sort of fee schedule. We did not go in, but we were able to move about the battlefield without paying. Im sorry that That's kind of an answer that is unclear, but the entire situation was kind of unclear regarding the fees.
