Elmwood Park Zoo was established in 1924 when a local farmer transferred 16 acres and a small menagerie to the Borough of Norristown.
Like the poster below mentioned, land was donated, along with Deer. It started as a division of Elmwood Park, the Zoo exhibited monkeys, bears, peacocks, deer, raccoons, and rabbits. Even though it is in Norristown, it kept the Elmwood name.
Good question. Idk.
It has animals on exhibit as well as playing instruments for kids
