Yes, I bought tickets the same day I arrived. Unfortunately, there is always a line. Its only about 20 minutes long. It is worth it! The shed is stupendous!
I had bought a Chicago CityPASS a day before the visit to the aquarium, the entry it's included in the pass and you have preference in the que as will call tickets, didn't have to wait the long line, I probably save 30-45 minutes there.
