Are helmets optional? Because I see in videos some people are wearing helmets and some people aren't

Ok I am a local skater who has been skating my whole life and im always there. I would recommend bringing a helmet as it says it's required and you don't want to get kicked out due to not having a helmwet. Personally though I just keep my helmet in the car just in case
