The woman at till 6 at 4:50 pm on Jul. 7 tried to charge me over $1000 to register my vehicle in the state. Know how much things cost before you go or they will try to scam you. Stay safe y'all.

Other than waiting 3 months for an appointment for transactions they won't do online. Actually waiting 3 months at home was better than the usual 2 months in the lobby. I'll give the teller credit for doing everything she could, but when even management doesn't know their own policies and procedures it doesn't look good for the frontline folks. Why do you have mandatory compliance marks for CDL holders but nobody trained in administering them? When the customer has to train management it exposes the incompetence.

I experienced a terrible customer service from this place today. Mrs Lewis Jackson has treated me as an undocumented person because she didn’t give any respect... I felt so horrible and FRUSTRATED. I wanted to tell the site Manager to make sure the employees deliver a good customer service no what/who the client is. The DMV is the face of the US

All employees were helpful and efficient. Even with needing a second ticket (moving only allows 1 license and 2 vehicles) I barely sat down by the time my number was called. I would say this was probably the best visit I've ever had with any DMV.

Do I need appointment to renew drivers license
Complete an application for vehicle registration form (form FMS-210) and return it to DMV. Refunds generally take 30 days to process. You will not be eligible for a refund if you used the online plate surrender process to surrender your plates.
No. You need appointment to go there. They add appointment slots at end of the day only for one month. Try between 5-6pm. I tried yesterday at 5:30 and there was only one slot available on 13th July. It will be difficult to get a slot before mid July unless someone cancels appointment. All the best 👍
Did you end up needing an appointment?
I made an appointment to get my tags renewed cannot remember the date how do I find this out
5pm. Check www.dmvnow.com for holiday closings
Sure there might be...driving test will be just basic instructions like take left...take Right and so on... But u can check if they hv Spanish guy available
They have walk ins Tuesday Wednesday and Friday
Call the customer service line or make an appointment at your local dmv center.
Still only by appointment but you can check for cancelations.
The confirmation email has a link for canceling appointments.
You can do that on line. You go into your account.
You can either apply online. Or make an appointment online, since you cannot come inside the building without an appointment due to COVID restrictions.
I think you will need an appointment
I recommend you keep trying to make appointment online and keep calling. Search for other DMV locations too. My license renewal appointment was made 3 months ago; got in last week. Other locations further away that had earlier availabilities, but I didn't want to go to those. I was fine to wait. Good luck!
Proof of ownership; insurance docs; $;. Personal ID
Check with DMV; they have extended the expiration grace period due to Covit; they may give you some leeway
You will get email confirmation to the email registered.
Get an appointment
You have to go on www.dmvnow.com to actually cancel the appountment & schedule an appointment day & time that works for you
Make an appointment to avoid standing in line when you visit DMV. You need to visit for REALID. Then fill out online application before your appointment visit.
You need to make an appointment.
Usually, but if you get a letter from DMV it may tell you that you need to do it in person. I had to go in, I think my picture was very old and they wanted updated vision test. If you want to get the REAL ID, you then also must do it in person, by appointment, and bring the necessary documents.
Go to the DMV/NOW website and make an appointment
Yes. When you get there, they will check the schedule to verify your appointment before they even let you in the building. When I went the other day, they had me wait in my car until my scheduled time.
Hello, you would have to change to a real ID. 2 picture proofs of residency and utility bills.the usal
Appointments only. You can file replacement online https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/drivers/#duplicate.asp You will get a confirmation that you can use till your new license is mailed. Otherwise here is the link to make appointment: https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/onlineservices/appointments.aspx
You have to make an appointment Dmvnow.com
Do it online. Also, expiration was extended by few months i thought.
Pretty sure you can go to any DMV. They don't care if you live nearby or not.
Can you give or get a test. It's the written portion of the license testing. Only thing is , for a license you need to also take a road test
You should be able to sign it over to her.
You go, fill out the forms and you leave with your temp license. They mail you the replacement.
You need to call DMV customer care instead. I dont think they have any same day testing availability but worth checking. I water few days before my driving test day became current.
Yes
Yes
Yes, as long as he was born in Virginia
no unfortunately you can't. you have to go to the dmv the one in leesbirg is pretty good at customer service and timing.
if directly in the dmv with the registration
Hi Joe these are very specific questions. I would suggest to go to the DMV Website and look under how to obtain a Motorcycle license. Their Frequently Asked Questions before you call them. Usually it's best to go directly to their Information Booth in case you are missing paperwork. That's my best advise! Best of luck!
Go to the DMV website look for the section selling/donating a vehicle. The plates are yours. If you decide to get a refund for the registration fees paid for the entire year you need to contact DMV. What's more important is to inform the DMV about the cars you sold. More info in DMV.virginia.gov or just Google DMV.
They are closed during federal holidays. You can visit their website for online services.
It should be pretty easy, you need to go to the DMV with your passport (proof of identity), SS card, and proof of residence (bank statement)
the easiest thing aplly for a VA driving licence. you can visit DMVNow and see what documents you need and I pray for you
Yes. You ca on also obtain that at any DMV select location
Today it's closed.
If you're looking for the road test, yes they will. However I suggest scheduling an appointment. They will not help unless you are there for a road test.
You can go to Leesburg or Sterling's DMV. Search in Google the word DMV, their website is very detailed and their address is there as well.

What do you mean "paperwork for renewal"? You will be asked for birth certificate, social security card, and other forms of identification. The license would expire in 2026 or 2027 if renewed this year, unless you have a limited legal presence.
Go to the DMV.
Return tags, cancel insurance, notify the department of treasury of the donation so you won't get taxed (sometimes DMV takes too long to notify the treasury)
No. They will replace your papers.
You need to return them. You can also go online at dmv.virginia.gov and mark the vehicle that you returned as no longer active.
The registration. Card and has a vailed immission.
Not at the DMV. That would be a county records wherever you were born thing.
It is worth calling when the weather is very bad, but they are usually open by their normal hours.
You can renew at the va dmv website
Free online, but you have to pay for a replacement license if you want it changed on the license. You can carry the receipt and address change form I'm your car if you don't want the new card.
Have with you a proof of the new addresses
Start at the info booth, and they will give your a number based on why you are there. Also, if you are renewing on time, you can do it online
I will check tomorrow, right now this office is closed.
Proofs for the new address: Lease contract or electrical bill
Legally no, you can't drive the car. I have been told that police sometime just give a warning for stickers that are less than a month over due - but I wouldn't recommend it. About three months before the expiration of your registration virginia will mail a renewal packet. Fill that out and return by mail or update on line. Use Google translate if you need language assistance. They will then mail you the new registration sticker. You can prepay for up to two years. Hope this helps.
