Goodwill's list of acceptable donations linked to your website includes VHS tapes and cassettes; however, when I dropped several of these off today (many that were brand new and still sealed), I was told they'd be trashed. Which is true?

Almost no one wants VHS tapes and cassettes anymore, so they’re not worth Goodwill’s time and energy.
