Yes, by boat is best but I've had luck on the shore as well you just have to hunt the good spots out. Cat fishing is good in the later hours. There's some real monsters out there.
There is a kids pond there. If your an adult I believe you can not fish there unless your a child an adult may help but other wise you can fish other areas with a licences.
