This year has been a bad year for snow in the West, but yes, there should be plenty of snow during that time.
I agree. Usually lots if snow in Jan. But not much this year. LA Nina year. Hopefully, next year is better. But right now. ...oh man... snow is soooo great! Hope to see you on the slopes! !!
January is usually slamming. This has been a rough year for all of Colorado. We hit WC 2 weeks ago and it was good. I wish we would have hit that fresh 23" they got the week before. In comparison, we hit steamboat last weekend and the snow was basically the same.
Went January 3rd and 4th and it was pretty terrible. Gravel, ice and lots of obstacles but this was a very strange year. We go almost every year and its always been great. My husband has gone to wolf Creek for over 20 years and had never seen it like that before. Overall, its a great place to ski and we highly recommend it! This was just a bad year for most of the state ski wise.
I went skiing Jan 19, 2018. Pretty empty slopes but snowboarders and skiers were there. 22" base, packed and a little icy. Used to be much better.
I was there first week in January this year. And while there was less snow than usual, there was plenty to ski on :) we even got fresh powder on our second day!
In average they have more snow than anyone.... so if they don't have snow....no one does.... we always go at the end of December and its always fresh out of 7 days usually we get 3 days of fresh snow but just like every body knows this year it's been really bad for every body
Every year we have ever been there there, was but this year they were short on snow but we were still able to snowboard and ski 90% of the mountain.
