It will usually just be windy at the top. Once you get down the mountain a bit the wind will die down.
It's not usually to bad. Personally if it's snowing and 20-30 gusts I don't go. It is sometimes difficult to see!
I'm from Kansas so I have a high wind resistance, but the wins only gets you on the lift and at the peak. Once you're on the actual ski trails the trees block most of the wind.
My husband says those aren't bad but if your @ the top it's cold @ that ~ it wouldn't stop him he said lol.. .
