Apply early and depending on the number of guests you bring it might cost more. Space is limited. Call the park for more information. And have a blessed day.
I only visited once and do not recall seeing gazebos there. However, it's quite frequently used as a wedding venue. Considering checking out their website (http://www.sdparks.org/content/sdparks/en/park-pages/Waterfront.html) and contacting Park Staff. The grassy area at the park is first come first serve, so since you are planning on having a family reunion picnic, the staff may need to block off a specific section for you.
You need a permit at any park, mostly so others know you own the spot for the day, and you'll need to bring canopies.
I'm from San Diego, so I couldn't even imagine what it would be like to have an outdoor picnic in that heat
This park doesnt have gazebos. Its not that kind of park.
No gazebos so I recommend to get early and checkout the website, sometimes you will need a permit if you exceed certain number of guests.
Hi Wanda. There are no gazebos, but some beautiful water fountains. Not sure about needing reservations because it is public space where anyone can sit on the grass and enjoy the scenery. There is a children's playground there too.
Hi Wanda, there are no gazebos (i'm sure that's what you meant to say) at the waterfront park and you dont need a reservation from my experience. You can bring a tent.
