They take married couples. You sleep in different areas but are under the same roof. They take service animals.

ESA dogs are not permitted, but Service Dogs are (provided they are behaviorally appropriate). Married couples are able to stay at the shelter, but are still required to stay in separate, gender-specified dorms.

Is the shelter open in the summer (for sleeping) for people off the street? I have heard that it is closed to the general population after April and it re-opens in the fall..that only those who are in work programs sleep there in summer. True?
