Is the park pet friendly, what are the limitations

There's a kennel at the campground so that you can go on the hiking tours that require ladders to enter and exit.

Pets are not allowed to most of the sites/cliff dwellings. You better make arrangements for them outside the park

It's generally not a good idea to bring your pet to any national park including Mesa Verde.

Pets are not allowed on trails/ sites, and must be leashed at all times when outside of a vehicle
