The cliff palace and spruce house are closed right now.
You have to make reservations in advance.
Visited in May 2021at that time there was one cliff dwelling open to walk through, but closes early afternoon.
It's not like it used to be..too many rules..sad 😢 you can drive the loops and be satisfied..don't need a ranger if you have imagination

There are 2 you can do on your own. One of them is the step house which is super easy physically (1 mile) round trip.
