I suppose it depends on the size of the pizza. Beau Jo's is deep dish. So you're getting a very dense pizza. My take is that if you're looking for a bargain pizza Beau Jo's is not your place. But, if you're looking for something with a very different flavor, with thick, yummy crust, then it is your place and you won't mind paying more.
They're very expensive because some people are foolish enough to pay $40 for a pizza or $7.00 for a cup of coffee. Fortunately there are many other small shops that offer a better pizza at better price. Check out the small Mom and Pops places.

Well, it's obviously not Little Cesar's, it's a 'gourmet' pizza joint. Plus, the only pizzas they have that get that expensive are enough to feed 4 or more people and are specialty deep dish pies. If you don't like how much it costs, don't go there, pretty simple and easy.
No, I don't think a single beau jos pizza, should ever be that expensive!
Over the top ridiculous! It's not layered with gold. I've had just as good of a pizza at black jack.
