Yes you need a license to fish 13 and up. You can get your license and bait at Walmart. One stop for both

Yes, this is not a State Park, so a license is required.

Fishing is licensed and regulated by the State of Texas in all but private ponds, for conservation purposes. Kids 12 and under don't need a license. Walmart and other places that sell live bait, usually sell licenses also. Have fun with the kids, safely.
