Hi Stacy. The state of NJ forbids living in a campground but leaves it up to the local municipalities to interpret that as they will. Our twp is very strict and we are happy to comply with them. That means that if you are in the area working on a local contract, we'd love to have you stay with us. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to live, I can provide you with the names and numbers of campgrounds that have much more lax restrictions put on them. We have summer water which is on from 4/1-10/31 (weather permitting.) We have a separate line that runs beneath the frost line which means that it does't freeze. All of our sites have both 50 and 30 amp service along with it's own meter which the elec company reads each month. If at any time a guest would like to read the bill we are happy to show it to them. I hope this answers your questions!
They have underground water in Winter and a different connection for the rest of the year. Why they have both... I don't know unless it's heated. The electric is going to eat you alive though. We stayed here and the electric was almost as much as the lot rent. They charge their own price because they read your meter. You don't pay what the power company charges them. We ran propane heater too at this time and no electric heaters, and being in the winter, didn't even run our A.C.. ELECTRIC for 1 month was a little over $500. Good Luck though... not many campgrounds to choose from in the area.
Yes, that is true. But i think the water is off after Christmas till Easter or somewhere there about.
Andrew Hutton. We pay our electric straight to the electric company. No water after 10/31 unless you are working temporarily in the area.
