My husband and I were married at An Affair By The Lake this year and cannot say enough positive things about Lorraine and Cheri. We were supposed to have our wedding in 2020 but with COVID, we decided to delay with hopes of less restrictions and a bigger, more fun reception and that is exactly what we got. Lorraine was always available to call, text, or email and stayed up to date on rules and regulations which helped us with decision making. She was incredibly kind and understanding with everything but especially with rescheduling our ceremony and reception. She helped to coordinate and reschedule ALL of our vendors for the new 2021 date and helped bring our plans for our dream day to life. I truly had no worries or concerns on the day of our wedding because Lorraine and Cheri were so organized and had every detail planned and taken care of. While I enjoyed hair and make up and breakfast with my family and wedding party, Lorraine and Cheri were assembling tables and chairs, directing vendors on what goes where, making sure our cake got refrigerated, setting up signs and special photos, etc, etc. After a long day that started early, Lorraine and Cheri then took care of clean up, storing extra food, packing up rented items for vendor pick up, etc, etc. You truly get excellent service when you choose An Affair By The Lake. My only hesitation in the beginning was having to utilize multiple vendors and not knowing how or who to pick as we are not from this area however this is where Lorraine proved to be an amazing asset. She gave us honest advice and guided us through every step and helped to facilitate quotes and contracts with each vendor. Thank you, thank you, thank you Lorraine and Cheri for all you’ve done for us, for treating us like family, and for giving us the best wedding day we could have imagined! - Carly & Justin

We originally selected An Affair By the Lake because of the gorgeous location, but Lorraine was the real treat! Lorraine answered all of our questions, provided an extremely helpful checklist so we could keep track of all of the things we needed to do before the big day, was extremely responsive, and went out of her way to help us find vendors that met our requirements. Coming from out of state, we were a little overwhelmed trying to get everything organized, but Lorraine made it easy for us. We had booked An Affair By the Lake in early March 2020 before the pandemic began, and ultimately decided to cancel our large wedding and opted for a smaller COVID-friendly ceremony. I am confident that if we had gone through with our original large wedding plan, Lorraine would have ensured the day was beyond perfect for us.

Great location for an event. We were there for my brother's wedding and stayed in the house for 3 nights. The amenities made it a wonderful time.
