I was admitted here in the winter of 2021. I was told, before arriving here, that I would have to use a cane for the rest of my life, if I ever made it out of my wheelchair at all. I walk today without a cane. 3 miles every day. The physical therapists here made that possible. When I arrived I was 92lbs. When I left I was 117lbs. The nursing staff made that possible. I understand how frustrating things can get. Covid amplified everyone's tension. Health care ain't pretty. I owe my recovery to them. They are trying. A debt I can never repay. Thanks Avamere staff.

Family member there for 8 days, only received shower on last day because it was pushed for. Promised for 3 days in a row and did not happen. Was told by a staff member elderly people don’t usually bathe daily. Was offered dry shampoo to wash hair. Thank goodness we’re home now.

Peace Health discharged me to the Cascade Park Avamere. This is a first time experience for me after 1 week now. I find the staff extremely helpful and compassionate. They, overall, enjoy their jobs and helping others. The PT and OT staffers encourage progress in their own individual ways. I think call lights are responded in a very timely manner with willing hands. It's just a consistently positive and friendly attitude and between staffers too. Must comment on the food. I think the kitchen does an excellent job with meal planning and variation. Food tastes fresh and it's another reminder of simple yet tasty portion control. Even low salt is done right. Hopefully, tho, I won't have to repeat this experience. Avamere Cascade Park, Vancouver, is surely making a painful experience more tolerable. Thank you to Jun, Andrew, Sheilla, Bebe, Charles, Cheyenne, Scott, Travis, Paulette, and friendliest matrimonial team of Jenny and Tim.... and many more!

If you want your loved one to feel like a prisoner, this is the place for you. Nurses are nice but some of the receptionist dress like they are going to dress rehearsal for a dance line. Totally inappropriate. I had a hard time trying to find out exactly how my loved one was doing. How the rehab was going and how long before they think they will be released .
