Given the complexity of the problems and issues they deal with, this seems like a well organized organization looking to collaborate to help the people that live in our city. Very professional staff.

Don't understand why wait more then 30 min( and counting ) when you arrive before 8am ( they start attending people at 8am) and no one to help you out. Wait, wait, wait.... unbelievable!

I never expected to give a government office 5 stars and maybe this is a bit of an exaggeration. After all it is a government office: You have no choice but come here, they will make you wait a pretty long time before it is your turn. But: The seating area is nice, there is Wifi (so you can do work), there is a pretty nice cafe next door for a coffee while waiting, the folks are knowledgable and helpful, the staff is very responsive to emails for simple questions. I was very impressed.

I suggest you go to their website and, call them.

I'm thinking of adding a 6ft x 14 ft roofed porch to the front of my house in front of the entry door. Do I need a permit?

Yes. You're fine.

I have a 200sf shop in my backyard. Between shop and house is a 10 by 18 wooden deck. I want to cover my deck. Can I and if so do I need permit. Cover would be 10by 18 and at high end be 15 feet high and at low end 13
