Great tubbing but GET THERE EARLY if you want parking and tubes. We got there at 9am, an hour before the tube rental opened. Street parking was still fairly available but we got a spot in the parking lot, lucky us! TUBERS CAN NOT PARK in any spaces in the parking lot that say "cafe". They closely watch these spaces and you will be confronted and kicked out of those spaces. >>> Do the further walk to the 2nd blue mark for a longer float which took us close to 2 1/2 hour.

A super fun day tubing on the Gunpowder River with doggie. You can rent tubes or bring you're own like we did.

Place is pretty good. Took the long trail through the woods (about 40 minutes) to go back down on the tube for about 3 hours. Parking is horrendous. Get there BEFORE 10am, maybe even around 9am and PARK SIDEWAYS, NOT PARALLEL. Parking is BEFORE the place to rent the tubes. If you park anywhere besides there, you WILL get a ticket. Cops are everywhere ticketing everyone who isn't parked in the designated area. $30 is a little pricey for a rental plus having to drag it by yourself to take off. Was a fun time, would do it again. If you get there too late, you are S O L.

Great place and much fun but now bought my own river tubes and can go for free! Make sure you invest in commercial grade tubes because of the sticks and debris! Great investment and pays for itself after only two uses!

The bike shop rents tubes so most people need to exit at the bridge to return them, however, if you bring your own, I do not see why you could not continue. Please be advised that I cannot speak to the river conditions further ahead. Parking is free on the street, however, it can get very crowded on a nice day. If you buy lunch at the cafe, you may be able to park in their spots, but please speak to them first. Best of luck!
What did he say that made you think he was ignorant? I understand why you'd say he was 'extremely sarcastic', the fact is he is. However, so am I, and actually use sarcasm to draw out the comedy of a situation, so our personalities meshed well. If that type of humor, which can sound passive aggressive and brash to some, of offensive to you, you're probably not going to become best friends. However, the classical use of 'ignorant' as a term to indicate simply as a lack of complete information, is now used in a far more derogatory way. The colloquial use is generally as to attack the character of a person or group who are being percieved as biased or racist. I have used the river tubing business many times for years, and have never detected any indications he was ignorant in the derogatory sense. Could you please describe what lead you to that conclusion?
Just noticed this sorry for the delay. For future reference Facebook is a more instant contact method. We are closed for the season now and reopen around April when it gets warmer. I am happy to come in during the off season but require a little bit more notice some days and unfortunately today I am out of town sorry.
