No, it's just a hiking trail that leads back to the river. The closest you'll get is some rocks to sit and relax on and some swimming spots.

Years ago, there was a bridge to cross the creek. With such heavy rains, the creek must be high. Is there any way to cross the creek without crossing on the downed tree?

I don't believe there is any other way but to cross over on down trees.

How long does it take to get to the end

People who are saying an hour are probably walking at a relatively slower pace. I have timed myself from 35-45 minutes to get to the end on the shortest route. (Crossing at the beginning of the trail and stating on the left the whole time). If you don't stop, you could do it in 30 minutes each way.

Is there swimming allowed? Need to know for tomorrow, would like to find a nice spot to go swimming.

Sure. No one has stopped us from going in the creeks so far. If you go far enough down the main trail... almost to the area where the trail opens to the railroad and the Susquehanna, there are some really nice pools in the creek. Creek shoes or "get wet" shoes are recommended with rocks, etc. in the beds. My guess is everything you do is at your own risk. Check and make sure to comply with the preserve rules posted in the main parking area. Have fun. Be safe.

Straight shot down 372 and up River road, about 12 miles

Are we still aloud to hike these trails and see the falls? I was told penndot owns it and it's now no trespassing.

Nicole Sauder | May 24, 2019
Tom Roe | May 25, 2019

This area is owned and maintained by the Lancaster County Conservancy. Parts of it were closed, but that was years ago. The area should be open to the public for the foreseeable future disregarding any problems with parking or erosion.
