The tagging on it was kind of a downer. But using your imagination to put it in another realm can make it a magical place, especially if there's a mist.. If you're in the area it's not a bad little venture, about a 20 min brisk hike through lots of greenery, there's a small river, and the path is well defined. Also close to the Pittock Mansion trail.

Definitely an interesting little structure in the woods. The home down to our was quite nice with lots of lush greenery. The castle itself had its own charm in its dilapidated state. I would recommend it if you're in the area.

A 12 minute hike from the road to the witch's castle. Make sure you have good shoes for this small hike. It is slippery and for the most part smooth with no traction. The trail goes way beyond this attraction so I would make a day of this outing. Bring the 4 legged kids don't forget the poop bags!

Not AT the Witche's Castle. There is in the parking lot at the trailhead.
It has no address or phone number, its an abandoned building located in Forest Park off the Upper Macleay Trail.
No charge, it was an old restroom for hikers that was closed. Due to moss and age, it resembles a little stone cabin in the woods, or a "Witch's Castle"

Local High School students named it this in late 1980's. No connection to actual witches. Just a cool place for parties.
