I had a great experience at the Tigard Costco Tire Center. Leaving work in the evening I see my front tire is flat... had to wait 3 1/2 hours for AAA to come and put the donut on (that's another story)! Next day I call Costco to see about bringing it in (purchased my tires there) and was told they were all booked up and that I would probably have to wait for quite a while since I didn't have an appointment I took my chances and brought the tire in. I did have to wait a fair amount but Jose, Vue and Andre were great! Great attitudes and friendly! Plus Jose went out of his way to find a replacement tire for me even though they had discontinued the Michelin's I bought. My car is 20 years old with a small tire size, so not surprising. Jose even gave me useful info about my tires and tire size to use in the future should I need it. On top of it, there was no charge since I hadn't driven that much and the tire had a lot of tread left. Super happy with the whole experience!

Don't trust Costco tire warranty. I purchased high end Michelin tires for my suv less than two years ago. When one of the tire got flat after curb contact, Costco warranty only takes care of that one tire, which still has 30% life according to Costco, so the credit is only $70. Meanwhile, they claim that my suv is AWD, so all 4 tires has to be replaced the same time. so I will be paying for the other three. Quoted $1200 after the credit. When I purchased the tires, they claim that the life of 4 tires should be close to five years/60 k miles, plus warranty support. The tires lasted much shorter than that and the warranty is a complete scam. Do Not Purchase Tires Here.

My car was damaged while tires were fixed and that can happen. But my frustration comes from how it’s been handled since. I was not contacted by anyone for more than 2 weeks until I called and I was told the person in charge was on vacation! Then the insurance company called me and told me they will send me info on how to get it repaired and they never emailed me. Called them 3 time and left voice mail, no response. Talked to customer service and they said they’ll take care of it. They haven’t. It’s been more than a month and I’m beyond frustrated by how Costco, my former favorite company, has so poorly handled this. Will consider all other options to solve this problem but this is totally unacceptable.

People seem to give Costco tire service a bad rep online, so I was admittedly a little nervous but I had a great experience working with Mike here. I brought in new wheels to be installed with new Michelin tires I ordered with Costco online, along with new lugs and hubcentric rings I bought on Amazon. Everything was installed to my satisfaction, and within the time limit MIke estimated - he said a little over an hour; I was out of the garage after an hour and a half. I don't know what other people are talking about with their wait times. I had a pre-scheduled appointment in the middle of the day. No issues.

They will install a new battery for you when you purchase it there, yes.
If you are looking for a specific tire, I have found that it is best to call the Tire Center and make sure they actually have a set in stock before you go in. If they don't have it in stock, there is a good chance they can get them ordered for you over the phone and have you come in once they arrive.
